1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using the Confi service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Confi Technologies, Inc. ("Confi," "we," "us," or "our"), a Delaware corporation with its principal office at 513 W Shoreview Drive, San Ramon, CA 94582, United States.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Confi. By using the App, you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use the App.

If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Description of Service

Confi Technologies, Inc. is a consumer-first commerce platform. Confi's V1 product is a post-purchase support service. When you connect your email account, Confi:

  • Monitors your order-related emails for actionable events (deliveries, return windows, refunds, subscription renewals, delivery delays)
  • Surfaces post-purchase support alerts to help you avoid missing return deadlines, detect billing issues, track refund eligibility, monitor subscription renewals, and act on items you have chosen to watch
  • Provides a consolidated view of your active orders

Confi is an informational service. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of order data extracted from emails. We do not act on your behalf with retailers. Confi does not process payments to retailers, initiate returns, or modify your orders. Confi's own subscription is billed by your app store — see Section 3b.

3a. Notification Scope

Confi sends notifications only for post-purchase support events tied to orders or items you have either (a) connected via your email account, or (b) explicitly chosen to watch within the App. Specifically:

Confi DOES send notifications for: - Return-window expiration approaching - Refund-eligibility approaching or overdue - Subscription renewal approaching - Delivery delays (shipment overdue past the carrier's expected delivery window) - Watchlist confirmation prompts (where you previously set a watch state on a specific item or order)

Confi DOES NOT send notifications for: - Marketing of any kind - Deal alerts, price drops, or restock notifications on items you have not asked us to track - Engagement nudges, streaks, badges, or feed-pattern signals - Any notification not tied to a specific order or watched item in your account

This scope is a binding commitment. Any expansion requires an updated Privacy Policy + Terms of Service before such change is released.

3b. Subscription and Billing

Confi is offered as a paid subscription. Current pricing and billing periods are shown in the app before you purchase.

Who charges you. All payments are processed by the app store you downloaded Confi from (Apple's App Store or Google Play), under that store's terms. Confi does not collect, process, or store your payment card details.

Free trial and first charge. Where a free trial is offered, the trial length and the date of the first charge are shown before you confirm. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid subscription automatically.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

How to cancel. You cancel through your app store account settings — Apple or Google — at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Confi cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by the app store under its own refund policy. Confi does not issue refunds directly.

Price changes. We will notify you before any change to your subscription price takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.

4. Email Access and Authorization

To use Confi, you must authorize access to your email account through OAuth (Open Authorization) provided by your email provider:

  • Gmail: Google OAuth, gmail.readonly scope (read-only access)
  • Personal Outlook.com: Microsoft OAuth, Mail.Read scope (read-only access)

By authorizing access, you confirm that:

  • You are the owner of, or are authorized to use, the email account you are connecting
  • You understand that Confi will access and process order-related emails from your account
  • You have read the Privacy Policy, which describes how your email data is processed

Confi requests read-only access. We cannot send, draft, modify, delete, archive, mark as read, or move emails on your behalf.

Contractual necessity: Your authorization to access your email is the basis on which we deliver the service. Without this access, Confi cannot function. This access is contractually necessary to perform the service you have requested.

5. Supported Email Providers

Version 1 of Confi supports:

  • Personal Gmail accounts (@gmail.com)
  • Personal Outlook.com accounts

Organizational, workplace, or school accounts are not supported in Version 1. This applies to both Microsoft 365 accounts managed by an organization and Google Workspace accounts managed by an employer or organization. Only personal accounts may be connected.

6. Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring your connected email account credentials remain secure

You may disconnect your email account or delete your Confi account at any time using the in-app controls.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
  • Use the App to collect data for purposes other than personal order tracking
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
  • Misrepresent your identity or age

8. Data Processing

Our processing of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which accompanies these Terms and is available in the App and on our website. Key points:

  • We access order-related emails only — not your full mailbox
  • Raw email bodies are never stored — only structured extracted data is retained
  • You can delete all your data at any time through the in-app deletion flow
  • You can revoke email access at any time through your email provider's settings
  • We do not sell or share your personal information

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, algorithms, and content, is owned by Confi Technologies, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the App as described here.

10. Notifications

The scope of notifications Confi sends is defined in Section 3a above (Notification Scope). Confi does not send marketing notifications, engagement nudges, or any notification outside the scope set in Section 3a. Notification payloads do not contain order content; they trigger the App to open, and the App fetches relevant context from our backend. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

11. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the App available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Modify, update, or discontinue features at any time
  • Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
  • Change these Terms with notice provided through the App

Continued use of the App after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONFI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Specifically:

  • We do not guarantee that order data extracted from emails is accurate, complete, or current
  • We do not guarantee that all order-related emails will be detected
  • We are not responsible for actions you take (or fail to take) based on information in the App
  • We are not responsible for retailer policies, return deadlines, or refund decisions

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONFI'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CONFI IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

CONFI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Confi Technologies, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third party's rights

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the in-app account deletion flow.

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the App will cease
  • Your structured order data will be deleted (unless you have already deleted it)
  • Your OAuth tokens will be invalidated

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA"), conducted in San Francisco, California, United States. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Notices to you will be sent through the App or to the email address associated with your account.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Confi regarding your use of the App.
